This Business Consultant provides an unparalleled opportunity to hone and diversify your skillset, advance your career, and shape the future of healthcare. Through a lead role in presenting key findings to C-level executives, working jointly with Ascendco and high impact client project teams they identify the clients highest-value opportunities, address their most critical challenges, and accelerate the change management required to transform their facilities existing program. The Business Consultant is responsible for the quality of work and to educate and inform clients and/or prospective clients proactively about state-of-the-art technologies, methodologies and tools and how it can bring value to their business and, in particular, process for procurement and management of surgical devices.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support high value consulting activities for prospective clients

  • Manage high value consulting activities for current clients

  • Facilitate company growth through identification/qualification of potential clients and fostering an industry network.

  • Contribution to improvement of methodology, tools, enablement material and topic development.

  • Development of Business Cases, contracts, requests for purchase and client project plans

  • Support Ascendco and client teams, especially those with need for deep expertise and a hands-on approach.

  • Contribute to the quality of work, question results with sanity checks alongside project teams.

  • Establish baselines and sanity checks to ensure project initiatives are met, measured, and sustained across the company and respective territory

  •  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Economics, Science or related field

  • 3 years of experience interacting with clients or executives of all levels to review expected outputs, applicability to business challenges, and model measurement

  • Excellent communication skills to drive thought-provoking dialogs with senior clients

  • Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous work streams and shift / adjust resources to achieve optimal results

  • Willing to travel and work on client sites

  • Good business sense

  • Team player, open, pleasure to work with and positive in a group dynamic

  • Loyal and reliable

  • Highest ethical standards

  • Driven, hard-working, entrepreneurial, proactive and productive

 

Preferred Professional Skills

  • General management consulting

  • Able to build empathy within the firm and win the trust of the clients

  • Analytical and structured

  • Able to work creatively and analytically in a time-limited, problem solving environment.

  • Expert in keynote and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, statistical analysis with Excel functions, data mining)

  • Strong presentation skills 

  • Basic quantitative analysis skills 

  • Project Costing and cost modeling 

  • Business Case development 

  • Client facing consulting experience

  • Marketing and/or complex b2b sales experience

  • Able to pass Operational Excellence skills assessment administered by an Operational Excellence Master Black Belt
